Callow fronts stewards at Sandown

Wednesday 7 September 2016, 1:38pm

Jockey Noel Callow has been cleared to ride at Mornington after being interviewed by Racing Victoria stewards.

RV senior steward Robert Cram said Callow was interviewed in a closed hearing at Sandown on Wednesday over reports he had been detained in Malaysia last month.

Callow failed to attend a Cranbourne meeting in August after being held by Malaysian authorities for allegedly using a false passport.

Cram said he would not go into details but added stewards would prepare a report for RV's licensing sub-committee.

Callow has been booked for one ride, Regal Trader, at Mornington on Thursday.
