Saturday 18 October 2014, 2:35pm

The Gai Waterhouse-trained The Offer has been cleared to run in the Caulfield Cup.

The Offer, a $23 chance in betting, was inspected by Racing Victoria vets when he arrived on course at Caulfield on Saturday.

This follows an inspection of the Sydney Cup winner on Friday afternoon after Waterhouse reported to Racing Victoria stewards the gelding was showing signs of lameness in the off foreleg on Thursday afternoon.

With The Offer cleared to run in the Caulfield Cup, a full field of 18 will line-up in the race, due to run at 5.40pm eastern daylight saving time.
