Trainer Mark Webb had a tip for punters after his two-year-old A Bit Wicked won at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.

A Bit Wicked ($4.60) became the second metropolitan winner in two weeks for new season sire Wicked Style when he won the Mount Franklin Plate (1000m).

Webb trains several horses by Wicked Style who stands at Oaklands Stud on Queensland's Darling Downs.

"I have said all along the breed would be good late season two-year-olds and three-year-olds. Stick with them and you won't be disappointed," Webb said.

Webb is starting to get his team firing after moving his base from Toowoomba to the Sunshine Coast last year.

"I won plenty of premierships in Toowoomba and didn't have much to prove. I wanted to be closer to my family and face a few new challenges," he said.

"These things take time and we haven't had many runners. But we are settling in well at the Coast and you will start to see a bit more of us in town."

A Bit Wicked came from the outside barrier and clocked 57.6s, 0.6s faster than Deano who won the other two-year-old event on the card.

Deano ($2) gave Tony Gollan his 54th city winner for the season and continued the trainer's run of success with owners the River Junction syndicate.

"I think I have had around a dozen individual winners for them this season including plenty in town," Gollan said.

He said Deano would now step up in distance and probably tackle Saturday company.

Meanwhile, apprentice James Orman made it two wins from two metropolitan rides when Live And Lurid ($2.10) led all of the way to win the Brisbane Marriott Hotel Plate (1600m).
