Third Saval Beg for Order Of St George

Saturday 26 May 2018, 7:45am

Order Of St George has won the Listed Saval Beg Stakes for the third year in succession at Leopardstown.

Part-owned by Australian Lloyd Williams, Order Of St George was sent off the 1-10 favourite against four rivals and didn't let his supporters down, beating last year's runner-up Twilight Payment by three-quarters of a length.

The winner of the 2016 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, the Aidan O'Brien-trained Order Of St George is 9-4 to win the race again next month.

"I was very happy with him. He's a beautiful horse, and I couldn't have been happier with what he did there," jockey Ryan Moore said.

"We can look forward to Ascot now.

"This fellow has been there and done it (Gold Cup) and I wouldn't swap him."
