Waller and Weir strong for Stradbroke

Horses from the Chris Waller and Darren Weir stables make up a fifth of the 100 nominations for the Group One Stradbroke Handicap.

Waller has 10 nominations headed by Group One winners Japonisme, Delectation and Amicus along with Amovatio, Counterattack, Heart Testa, Religify, Sir Bacchus, Star Wondering and Strawberry Boy.

Weir's entries are headed by Black Heart Bart and Stratum Star who are joined by Chivalry, La Passe, Rageese, Scarlet Billows, Sooboog, Stellar Collision and Tuscan Sling.

The David Hayes and Tom Dabernig stable has nominated five for the Stradbroke (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 11 - Fast 'N' Rocking, Kay Jay's Joy, Miss Promiscuity, Sheidel, and Wawail.

Ciaron Maher will rely on Azkadellia, the ruling favourite, and Girl Guide to give him back to back wins after last year's victory with Srikandi.

Weights for the Stradbroke will be released on May 30 with final acceptances on June 8.

There were 107 nominations for the Group One Queensland Derby on June 11 and 92 for the Group One J J Atkins Stakes on the same day.

The Group One Queensland Oaks on June 4 attracted 108 entries.
