Connections of improving filly Honesta will resist the temptation to campaign her interstate despite the filly's easy win at Doomben on Saturday.
Starting a $2.40 favourite, Honesta confirmed her rating as a possible Queensland Oaks contender next year when she stormed home to win the Brandons Hcp (1600m).
Stable foreman Glen Thompson said Honesta was a good Queensland horse at this stage of her career and about six months away from reaching her full potential.
"We will just see how she pulls up before deciding what to do. There are no 1600 metre races for three-year-olds here in the coming weeks," Thompson said.
"There is a chance we could find a race over a bit longer but we don't really want to take on older horses at this stage."
Honesta is trained by Thompson's brother John whose main stable is in Sydney.
"John trialled her in Sydney before the start of this campaign but she was always going to race here," Thompson said.
"Honesta is a QTIS horse and the bonus money is too good not to race her in Brisbane.
"In the long term we are looking at a race like the Queensland Oaks for her. We think being by Monaco Consul she will eventually stay."
Winning jockey Matt McGuren said Honesta had again shown a strong turn of foot when he asked her to sprint in the straight.
"I think she has a bright future," he said.
