Luke Dittman's double soured by suspension

Apprentice Luke Dittman's day ended on a sour note when he was suspended for seven meetings at Doomben on Saturday.

Dittman rode a double on Shotover River and Worthy Cause to take his tally of metropolitan winners to 21 and reduce his claim from three kilograms to two.

However, Dittman's day was tempered by a careless riding suspension for causing interference aboard Love Rocks on the first corner in the Shannons Air Con Hcp (1050m).

Dittman can resume riding on September 5.
