Snowden juveniles set to clash at Rosehill

Friday 12 June 2015, 12:30pm

In a situation the stable would prefer to avoid, Peter and Paul Snowden will have a third of the runners in the two-year-old race at Rosehill on Saturday.

The Snowdens are resigned to starting We're Sure, Involving and Meri Rani against each other after plans to split the trio were thwarted.

Meri Rani and Involving were scratched from a race at Canterbury on Wednesday after they drew wide gates and the pair will now take on their stablemate in Saturday grade.

"There's three running together and they've all got really good ability and they've got very good chances," Paul Snowden said.

"It's just one of those things that they've had to cross paths."

We're Sure won his only start at Gosford last month when he came from off the speed on a heavy track.

Meri Rani and Involving contested the same race at Kembla Grange on May 28 with the former finishing second and Involving fourth.

In a market dominated by Godolphin colt Shards, We're Sure is the top pick of the Snowden juveniles at $9.50 with Meri Rani and Involving at double-figure odds.

Shards is odds-on to post his first win after beating all but subsequent J J Atkins winner Press Statement at Rosehill last Saturday week.
