This Press Statement colt is a nice big type and possesses a lot of power.

He is extremely athletic, good length and bone. The colt is big striding, also very smart. This is a is tough and precocious colt. Very light on his feet with plenty of scope.

Press Statement is a 7yo bay stallion (male) from Australia and was trained by Chris Waller, who is based at Rosehill. He is sired by the stallion, Hinchinbrook out of the dam Kaaptive Empress.

Given that he has won at Group One level and has amassed $1,832,275 in career earnings, Press Statement is regarded as an elite class of racehorse.

On 10th Oct 2015 at Caulfield, Press Statement was ridden by Hugh Bowman and scored his most significant win to date, getting the money in the $1,000,000 Beck Caulfield Guineas, defeating Lizard Island.

He has proven a profitable horse for the punters over the journey. If you had backed Press Statement throughout his career you'd have achieved a 219% return on investment.

Press Statement has concluded his racing career, last running on the 16th Apr 2016 at Royal Randwick..

SPELLBINDER by O’RELLY,  5 wins from 1200m to 1600m. She was a listed winner of the ARC Soliloquy, she was also Group 1, 2 and 3 placed. This is her second foal her first foal is unraced.

Bjorn Baker worked for his father, New Zealand record-holding trainer Murray Baker, from a young age before taking a different route, graduating with a Bachelor Of Pharmacy in 1999 from Otago University.

After spending eight years in that profession the lure of horse-racing was too much and with the dream of being a trainer Baker spent time overseas working with trainers in Ireland and America honing and learning his craft.

In 2007, Baker joined the family business and in 2008 during his first foray to Australia he accompanied Nom Du Jeu on a highly successful autumn campaign winning the Group I Australian Derby at Randwick.

At the start of the 2008/09 season, he went into partnership with his father Murray and a few years later branched out and set up his own stable at Warwick Farm.

Baker had initial success with stayers however when two-year-old Unencumbered won the 2014 Magic Millions at the Gold Coast, it proved Baker wasn’t a one-trick pony.

Bjorn Baker's first major winner was Cantonese in 2012 and he joined the Group 1 club in his own right in 2016 when Music Magnate won the Doomben 10,000.
