Bred to be a sprinter and looks the part. A relaxed individual and shows all the trademarks of being a good racehorse. This colt is also very well put together, a nice type. A fluent mover with intelligence to match. Furthermore, he is balanced with a lovely action.
Stephen Jones (Trainer) comments: I really like this horse, he is by Invader one of the sires of the moment. Great mover, well balanced colt. Lovely head. Everything about him I like, nice clean skin on him. He would be a real contender for the 2yo race at Scone ($200,000). I am very happy to have him in the stable.
Jeremy Azzopardi (GOT Director) comments: From the pedigree analysis, it was pretty clear that he comes from a very strong family that throws lots of Group 1 winning stallions that go to stud. The mother is the half-sister to 2 group one winning stallions that stand at stud. Upon inspection he had sprinter written all over him and had a lot of similarities to his father Invader. A good size but not too big, nice physic. Everything in proportion and looks like he could get up and go early like his sire and dam that both won at 2.
The Invader colt also has 14 individual Group 1 winners bred on the same patterns. This includes RUSSIAN REVOLUTION, EXTREME CHOICE and MISS FINLAND
An exceptional pedigree this colt is the direct descendant of 140 individual black type winners including, 36 at Group 1 level, 19 at Group 2 level and 25 at Group 3 level. This includes MOSSFUN, REBEL RAIDER and RISING ROMANCE.
Our colt has also passed 100% clean on his scope, x-ray and clinical examination.
SIRE: INVADER
INVADER A Champion son of Champion Sire Snitzel, Invader’s victory in the Group 1 Sires’ Produce Stakes during his juvenile season was nothing short of sensational. In what was one of the strongest fields in the history of the race, Invader defeated fellow Group 1-winning Snitzel colt Summer Passage, with subsequent Champion 3YO and four-time Group 1 winner Trapeze Artist, also by Snitzel, back in third.
Invader has the all-important Australian market requirements of precocity, speed and conformation being by Snitzel out of a black-type Encosta de Lago mare he is positioned to continue the legacy of Champion Sires Danehill, Redoute’s Choice and Snitzel before him and become the next sire-sensation in Australia.
As the highest Timeform rated 2YO in history by his sire, Invader has been highly sought after.
"He was a stand-out! Invader was a well-made, strong, short-coupled colt as a yearling. An attractive colt with power, he caught the eye. He had the look of a two-year-old, which I was after. He proved this with his Gr.1 two-year-old victory in the Sires’ Produce. I look forward to seeing his progeny in coming years." – Michael Wallace, China Horse Club
DAM: REQUEJADA
REQUEJADA by FIRST SAMURAI. She was considered an early running horse winning at 2, she was also a handy racehorse coming fourth in a listed race. Half-sister to DAREDEVIL 2 wins at 2 a Group 1 winner and standing at stud also.
Requejada is the daughter of American racehorse Chasethewildwin a 3-time winner including winning at Hollywood Park. The Grandam of Race The Wild Win a winner of 5 races including the famous Anita Santa Maria Group 1. Her pedigree runs deep with group 1 winners all around the world.
