Millions Guineas next for Heza Jetsetter

Saturday 8 December 2012, 3:16pm

Robert Heathcote believes Heza Jetsetter is an ideal horse for the Magic Millions Guineas.

"They always go hard in that race and he's a horse who has shown he's got a nice turn of foot so bring it on," Heathcote said.

Heathcote will give Heza Jetsetter a short break before his next start in the Guineas at the Gold Coast on January 12.

Heathcote maintains Heza Jetsetter should've won his previous start on November 24 when he protested unsuccessfully against Hi Son.

"I was convinced two weeks ago he was going to go straight past Hi Son until he got interfered with," Heathcote said.

"A lot of people disagreed with me and most importantly the stewards disagreed with me."

Jockey Ryan Wiggins says the key to Heza Jetsetter is not bustling him in the early stages.

"He doesn't like being in amongst them," Wiggins said. "He gets on and off the bridle a little bit but when you get him to the outside you can feel him go through his gears."

Earlier, Choose A Saga earned a Magic Millions Classic start with a 4-1/2-length win when heavily backed from $5.50 to $3.

"You wouldn't find a tougher horse than him and it's just been a matter of getting him to 1200 metres on a dry track," trainer Darryl Hansen said.

Choose A Saga is a timely winner for Hansen who is rebuilding his training career after serving a six-month ban for a positive swab.
