Atalanta Miss winning on debut at Morphettville - Our 1st two year old runner for the season!

PRIME TO THE FORE – AGAIN

The results our team of horses produced since the start of October deserve recognition.  We started seven runners with all either winning or being placed.  This included three winners with Atalanta Miss winning the first Adelaide Two Year Old Race of the Season.  Hijack Hussy was sensational in winning at the Metropolitan Meeting at the Gold Coast on Saturday and Sitkamose’s win was simply awesome!!!

I have pasted all the results from 1 – 6 October for the Syndication Company’s covered by bloodstock.com.au.  If a syndicator does not want their results on the bloodstock.com.au site perhaps you should ask yourself why not? They make interesting viewing and gives you a clear picture of where we sit in relation to our opposition.  Make your own judgement but month in month out our horses do the job and are our best advertisement.  Some of the advertising we see from some of our opposition astounds me to say the least.

Our strike rate this season is 9 winners from 38 starters at 23.7%.  The best strike rate of the trainers in the Australian top 10 on the premiership is 20.80%.

ON THE TRACK

We have a quiet weekend with only Makeadane running at Hawkesbury on Sunday.  Things should really start to hot us next week with Husson Eagle set to run on Wednesday at Caulfield in the Blue Sapphire Stakes.  On Caulfield Cup Day at Caulfield Awasita lines up in the Alinghi Stakes and Sitkamose runs in the 1400m Yellowglen Plate.  Faith’n’Courage runs the same day at Doomben.

Hijack Hussy is heading to Melbourne to run at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day in the Desirable Stakes and Atalanta Miss is scheduled to have her next run in the $200,000 Magic Millions Clockwise Classic at Ballarat on 2 November.  Terra Amata may head to the Group 3 G.H. Mumm Stakes at Flemington on Oaks Day.

Hopefully we may have other runners at Flemington but it depends on what happens at Caulfield and how our two year olds hold up.  Exciting stuff!!!

We will have other runners around the traps next weekend but I will highlight those in next week’s newsletter.

PATRICK PAYNE - A YOUNG TRAINER GOING PLACES

I was over the moon when Atalanta Miss won at Morphettville.  She was our first two year old runner for the season and I told Patrick I would buy him a two year old type at this year’s Magic Millions Adelaide Sale after the great job he had done with Husson Eagle who lines up in Listed Company at Caulfield next Wednesday.

I’ve always had a high opinion of Patrick both as a person, jockey and now as a trainer.  I have purchased him a really nice athletic colt from Yarraman Park with the information available on him later in the newsletter.  Well done to Patrick and his staff.

He has two winners from as many starters for us this season!!!

PRIME TRAINERS EXCEL

It was a big weekend for our trainers with Kris Lees winning the Turnbull Stakes and John Thompson the Flight Stakes.  These are serious Group 1 races and it could have been much better for John with Hooked an amazing run in the Epsom.  Mark Kavanagh, Patrick Payne, Tony Gollan and Tony McEvoy also had winners on Saturday. Good luck to all our trainers this weekend.

They are firing at the right time of the year and their patience is being rewarded.

SYNDICATION OF THE WEEK

I AM INVINCIBLE COLT OUT OF MISS ALBERTA

PATRICK PAYNE TO TRAIN!!!

I AM INVINCIBLE / MISS ALBERTA COLT 2013

Pictured above is an athletic yearling colt by I Am Invincible out of the very good race mare Miss Alberta.  Miss Alberta won 9 of her 18 starts and only missed earning stakes money on 3 occasions.  She won at Randwick.

This colt is a beautifuly well balanced individual with a terrific girth and strong hindquarters. His conformation is faultless with good legs and joints.

Miss Alberta

Not many horses achieve a strike rate of 50% and she won her final race where she sustained a serious tendon injury in record time.  She was placed 5th in stakes company at Randwick in the Aspiration Stakes where she lead the race by 5 lengths. This is her 2nd foal for the mare with the 1st foal unraced but is reported to have good ability with its trainer trying to purchase this colt.

Miss Alberta is a full sister to another very good mare in Toldyas which was only unplaced once in her first 12 starts winning three races including two in Sydney.  She raced in races like the Triscay Stakes and Dark Jewel Classic.  Tolydas has had just the two to race with a winner of three from seven named Yasstar.

The colt will be prepared by Patrick Payne who has done a terrific job for us.  The first yearling I purchased him was Husson Eagle and now Patrick prepared our first two year old runner of the season with Atalanta Miss winning at Morphettville on Saturday.

I Am Invincible

I Am Invincible was Australia’s Leading First season Sire in 2013/14 Season by both stakes money and individual winners.  In fact he gapped the opposition with as many winners as the next three sires on the list.  See table above.

The progeny of I Am Invincible have continued to fire as three year olds with Brazen being one of four winners in two days when he saluted in the Roman Consul Stakes at Randwick last weekend.

I Am invincible had his service fee raised to $27,500 this breeding season and was fully booked out in a matter of days.  The mail about his upcoming crop of two year olds is very strong.

I am thrilled to have this colt join our team and look forward to him wearing our colours.

10 shares @ $7,600 with 5% shares just $3,800 each.
