Full field for Group One Turnbull Stakes

Wednesday 1 October 2014, 12:45pm

Happy Trails will jump from the inside barrier as he tries to win the Turnbull Stakes for the second year in a row.

Happy Trails and 2012 Turnbull winner Green Moon are among a full field of 16 plus three emergencies for the $500,000 feature over 2000m at Flemington on Saturday.

Melbourne Cup favourite The Offer has drawn wide in gate 15 with Tommy Berry to ride, while leading Caulfield Cup contender Lucia Valentina has drawn gate five for her introduction to Melbourne racing.

New Zealand mare Silent Achiever has barrier seven for what looms as a potentially campaign-defining race for the multiple Group One winner.

Puissance De Lune, runner-up last year, has barrier two as he strives to win at Group One level for the first time.

The David Hayes and Tom Dabernig-trained import Crackerjack King, third in the Underwood Stakes, has the outside gate while stablemate Stipulate is the first emergency.
