Trade Storm could head to Australia

Saturday 20 September 2014, 9:30am

Sheikh Fahad will make the decision whether Woodbine Mile winner Trade Storm travels to Australia for the Cox Plate or goes the Breeders' Cup.

Trade Storm and Sheikhzayedroad gave English trainer David Simcock a ground-breaking Grade One double in Canada last Sunday.

Sheikhzayedroad has the Champion Stakes at Ascot next month and the Canadian International back at Woodbine as possible targets following his victory in the Northern Dancer Turf Stakes.

"The two horses have arrived back happy and well. They'll be given an easy few days during which we will discuss options with their connections," Simcock said.

"Sheikhzayedroad could possibly go to Ascot (Champion Stakes), but only if it came up very soft, or probably back to Canada for the International.

"Sheikh Fahad will decide whether Trade Storm goes to America for the Breeders' Cup Mile or to Australia for his next run."
