BlueBlood Thoroughbreds Saturday Double

Monday 18 August 2014, 11:40am

It turned out to be a winning day for BlueBlood Thoroughbreds’ team, where they saddled up two runners yesterday and came away with a perfect record of two winners.

The first of the day was Lonnero (pictured), who stepped out at Kembla Grange in Race 3 over 1400m. The Chris Waller trained gelding was coming off a last start, 2nd over the same distance. Ridden by Jay Ford, Lonnero jumped the gates from barrier 10 where he controlled the race in front to score his maiden win by 0.8 lengths. Chris Waller commented "He came to the best part of the track in the straight and kicked away to win by three quarters of a length"

Jay Ford was upbeat about the win by saying "I was very happy with his run and it was an encouraging win and he will get to a better level than this".

Lonnero will now more than likely have his next start at another provincial before looking at city class racing.

BlueBlood's second winner was Black Revolver (pictured), who contested the last race on the card at Rosehill. Also trained by Chris Waller, the Lonhro gelding showed what a great future he has, where he sprinted strongly down the centre of the track from a wide barrier (10), to score an easy win in the end crossing over the line beating stable mate, The Alfonso, by 1.3 lengths. He has a total stakes earning of $136,102.

Chris Waller commented when interviewed on TVN, "it was good effort by Black Revolver, today was his day. He's had a couple of questionable runs on wet tracks but is a better horse on the better rated tracks.” BlueBlood's Racing manager, David Mourad said "It was a 10 out 10 ride from McDonald and a great result for all involved".

Black Revolver will more than likely head towards the CHELMSFORD STAKES day at Randwick in BM80 over 1600m race on September 6th.

The team at BlueBlood Thoroughbreds are now starting to turn heads in the industry with their consistent winners throughout NSW and Victoria, from only just over 3 years in syndicating. It may have something to do with their strict selection process that is now starting to pay dividends for their owners.

Congratulation to the owners Mr M J Buffier, Mr A Snijders, Mr S T Wilmot, Mr D Dickie, Mr B Skidmore, Mr M D Johnson, Mr S Volpato, Fishro, Mr T Taunton, Mr A D H Lau, Mr G J Reay, Damdom, Mr J P Everett, Mr R R Neville and Mr B F Clark
