City runners for Blueblood Thoroughbreds

Friday 11 July 2014, 1:59pm

BlueBlood Thoroughbreds string of city runners continues tomorrow when favourites Black Revolver and Snitzel Blitz line up at Randwick and Morphettville.

Smart galloper Black Revolver returned to his best when narrowly beaten at Rosehill last start on the 28th of June. He definitely appreciated the firm surface and should receive the same conditions at Randwick tomorrow.

Black Revolver lines up in race 2 SPORTSYEAR HCP (1400m) at 12:55pm and has drawn well in barrier 2 with Jason Collett riding again.  The step up to 1400m is ideal and he should again be very competitive.

Chris Waller stated in his pre-race comments: “His work has been good and on first look at the field, without going into the form, he looks hard to beat”.

Snitzel Blitz steps up to the Saturday grade after a strong win on debut at Donald on the 19th of June. There was plenty of merit in that win as she was posted wide with no cover for most of the trip and beat older horses in doing so.

She looks well placed again at Morphettville Parks in race 3 PURA MILK HCP (1400m) at 12:35pm (SA time). She has drawn good in barrier 5 of 9 with Ms Jamie Kah in the saddle.

Mick Price commented “I’d like to see her win and I expect her to run very well”.

A win tomorrow will make it 2 from 2 and being a Metropolitan race, it will add value to her broodmare prospects.

Black Revolver is currently $3.60 fixed favourite with the TAB and Snitzel Blitz is a $2.70 fixed favourite with the TAB.

Good luck to all the owners and both horses look to have a bright future ahead of them.
