The Offer penalised 1kg for win

Sydney Cup favourite The Offer has been given a one kilogram penalty for his win in Saturday's Group Three Manion Cup.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained Irish import will now carry 53kg in the Group One staying test at Randwick on April 19.

The five-year-old was strong at the end of the 2400m of the Manion Cup, beating Opinion by 3-1/4 lengths on heavy ground.

The Offer is now the TAB's $4.60 favourite for the $1 million Sydney Cup (3200m).

Second elect Silent Achiever ($6) and Sertorius and Voleuse De Coeurs($8) are all entered for Saturday's Group One BMW (2400m) at Rosehill.
