Glen Colless suspended at Doomben

Saturday 30 November 2013, 6:44pm

Jockey Glen Colless was successful aboard Emerald Duke at Doomben on Saturday but finished the day on wrong side of stewards.

Colless was suspended for seven meetings for causing interference to Hebitda (Kelvin Wharton) near the 1400m in the Tattersall's Arcade Handicap (1600m) when he rode Emerald Duke.

He will ride promising filly Splendora in the Mode Plate (1350m) at Doomben next Saturday before his suspension takes effect.

Colless will return to riding at Eagle Farm on December 18.

Zedlion has been banned from racing for three months after a bleeding attack while Discreet was suffering from cardiac arrythmia when she finished 11th to Lady Echelon in the Travel Associates Classic.
