VRC Oaks day ban costs Hall 12 meetings

Thursday 7 November 2013, 6:37pm

Nick Hall has won two of the past three Zipping Classics but will miss this year's renewal after being suspended at Flemington.

Hall was outed for 12 meeting for careless riding aboard Members Joy in Thursday's Subzero Challenge (1400m).

The Caulfield Cup-winning jockey's ban starts after Saturday's Emirates Stakes meeting.

The feature race on the Caulfield card on Saturday week is the Group Two Zipping Classic, formerly Sandown Classic.

It is named after the Lloyd Williams-owned Zipping who won the 2400m race four years in a row from 2007 to 2010.

Hall rode Zipping to victory in 2010 and won it again last year on the Williams-owned Tanby.
