Blake Shinn suspended at Randwick

Saturday 22 July 2017, 5:39pm

Blake Shinn has recently enjoyed success in America, riding 11 winners during a short stint in Chicago, but has been brought back to earth with a suspension at Randwick.

Shinn has been winless in three meetings back in Australia this week and will miss the first two Saturday meetings of the new season after being outed for careless riding.

He pleaded guilty to shifting ground on runner-up Inivincible Knight in the final race on Saturday causing interference in the straight to Kathy O'Hara's mount Lay Down The Law who finished fifth.

Shinn will be out from July 30 to August 13, missing the Missile Stakes meeting on August 5.
