Unbeaten mare Magna Amica has figured in a change of plans with trainer Tracey Bartley happy to pass up a Melbourne Cup carnival opportunity.

Instead, Bartley will give Magna Amica the chance to continue her streak at Rosehill on Saturday in what will easily be the sternest test of the four-year-old's limited career.

Bartley started thinking about a Melbourne campaign after Magna Amica made it three wins from as many starts when she overcame a wide passage to score at Warwick Farm two weeks ago.

It was her second win for Bartley after joining the Wyong trainer following a first-up victory for Scone conditioner Greg Bennett.

"We decided a trip to Melbourne might come up a bit too soon for her so the Saturday race is the next best option," Bartley said.

Magna Amica has drawn gate three in the Turner Freeman Lawyers Handicap (1400m) and Nathan Berry becomes her fourth jockey in as many runs.

Veteran rider Jim Cassidy had the Warwick Farm mount, but unlike Magna Amica, he will be heading south on Saturday to keep an association with Zoustar, the highly sought-after colt which is favourite to win the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington.

Bartley said he was unsure if Magna Amica would continue her campaign beyond the Rosehill race.

"She seems to be spot-on but it depends on how she goes if we run her again," he said.

Magna Amica won't be the only mare with an unblemished record racing at Rosehill.

The John O'Shea-trained White Sage will resume against her own kind in the West Tradies/CFMEU Construction and General Handicap (1200m).

A daughter of Reset, the sire of Caulfield Cup winner Fawkner, White Sage has been off the scene since she won over 1300m at Randwick in June.

Revelling in the soft conditions, she put a space on her rivals to take her cumulative winning margin to 12 lengths from two outings.

O'Shea will saddle up one of the Victoria Derby favourites in Savvy Nature on Saturday but his Sydney chances are just as bright with the promising three-year-old Polarmore lining up in the AMWU - National Handicap (1200m).
