Treble to Peter Robl at Rosehill

Saturday 27 October 2012, 6:04pm

The winning partnership between Anthony Cummings and Peter Robl continued to reap gold at Rosehill after Our Hand of Faith brought up a treble for the pair.

Robl steered the four-year-old gelding between Loaded and Sailors Farewell into a tight victory in the Alpha Flight Services Handicap (1500m).

The win came after victories for Cummings and Robl with Fiveandahalfstar and Never Can Tell.

The win also meant a hat trick for the impressive gelding which has won its past two starts, and in total, four starts out of five.

While Cummings was in Melbourne for Cox Plate day, foreman Barry Smith said Hand Of Faith would likely step up in distance.

"He just keeps on thriving from run to run, so we might just have to raise the bar a little higher now."

"He looks well, he's been training well and I think he's just getting better."

Robl said a mile would be the most suitable increase in distance.

"Anthony's placed him a treat this horse, he's got him through his grades nicely," Robl said.

"He'll keep progressing from here onwards.

"He will get a little further, probably not a lot this preparation, but he can race him anywhere - he's that genuine.

Robl said he was only too happy to be riding in Sydney rather than at the Moonee Valley meeting.

"I'd rather be here riding winners mate," Robl said.
