Back To Where It All Began - Blueblood Thoroughbreds

Le Mans finally returns to Flemington where his racing career first sprouted, when he ran 4th in the Listed Festival Stakes over 1000m earlier this year on the 2nd of March. It is his first race back at Stakes level since then and he looks to have a sense of timing about him heading into tomorrow’s race.

Blueblood Thoroughbreds handsome son of Sebring lines up in race 3 tomorrow at Flemington in the Listed Yellowglen Vintage Stakes over 1410m at 1:05pm. The gelding has come through his grades well and has earned another shot at stakes level after placing at Caulfield in his last start on the 21st of September over 1700m beaten ½ neck, ½ head 3rd behind smart Gai Waterhouse galloper Rockford.

“Initially we had planned to run him in the 1800m event but we have come back in distance with him to the 1400m option,” Mick Price stated in his pre-race comments.

“We had to freshen him up due to his knee and he looks better suited at this stage to the 1400m,” he commented.

Le Mans has drawn well in barrier 3 of 14 and will have the run of the race from the gate. Craig Newitt has ridden him in his past 3 starts this preparation and will know how to ride him best on the day.

“He just needs a nice run in the race and he gets his chance to run well,” said Price.

The TAB currently have Le Mans fixed at $6.50, equal 3rd favourite with Kingdom Of Dreams behind $3.80 favourite Paximadia and $5.00 2nd favourite Pyrrolic.
