Sincero has been cleared to begin a campaign which could take the Group One winner on a spring excursion across Australia.

Relieved trainer Stephen Farley confirmed the sprinter-miler had recovered from a setback and would resume in the Tramway Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.

"He had a little abscess in his back foot but he's come through fine and it's onwards and upwards for Saturday," Farley said.

Sincero missed out on a defence of his Memsie Stakes crown because of the issue but he was able to gallop at full stretch on Saturday.

"He did most of his main work then and he did a little bit of evens (even-time work) this morning so he's locked in and right to go in the Tramway."

Sincero resumed with 58kg - 5kg over the limit weight - to win the Tramway in 2011 when the Group Three race was run under handicap conditions.

This year's race has been switched to a different weight scale and Sincero has 60.5kg.

But because of the compression of the weights, Sincero is likely to carry no more than 3kg over the limit.

"He seems to be going as good as he has in previous preps but Saturday will tell us for sure," Farley said.

Brenton Avdulla will link with Sincero for the first time as the Stradbroke Handicap and George Main Stakes winner has his first start since last year's Cox Plate.

The weight-for-age George Main Stakes is a target race while Farley is open-minded about an Epsom Handicap start.

"He's in the noms but I'm not saying yes and I'm not saying no," he said.

"The option is there to head to Melbourne for the Emirates Stakes on the last day of the carnival.

"If can run top three in the Emirates that gets you on a flight to Perth for the Railway Stakes and he may end up over there yet without getting too far ahead of ourselves."

There are 21 entries for the Tramway with Sincero's opposition expected to include this year's Doncaster Mile winner Sacred Falls and his celebrated Chris Waller-trained stablemate Shoot Out.
