Joe Pride will revert to a proven formula to coax See The World back to his best form at Randwick on Saturday.

The gelding has disappointed at his past two starts over 1350m, prompting Pride to drop him back in trip to the 1200m of Saturday's July Sprint.

Pride has also decided to put blinkers back on the stakes winner who has been without them at his past two starts at Doomben and Rosehill.

"He has lost his way a bit since he went to Brisbane," Pride said.

"I've put the blinkers back on. He wore them in the Hall Mark (Stakes) before he went away, I took them off so he would settle over the 1350."

See The World's best runs have been over 1100m and 1200m.

It was that record which prompted Pride to scratch him from last weekend's Winter Stakes (1400m) in preference for the shorter journey of the July Sprint.

"I thought he looked better suited back to 1200 and with the blinkers on," Pride said.

"He has raced alright at Randwick in the past so hopefully he can do it again."

A field of 11 will contest the July Sprint including the speedy Pentasia for Marc Quinn, Ramornie Handicap winner Youthful Jack and Bjorn Baker's smart gelding Havana Rey.

See The World will be one of three runners for Pride along with juvenile Meteoros in the opening race and filly Recoinage in the Trainer Connections Handicap (1400m).

Meteoros pushed Pitcrew to within a nose at Warwick Farm last start and Pride feels he will also be suited by a 100m drop in distance to 1300m.

"It's about his right trip," Pride said.

"It's near the end of the season and it would be nice to finish off with a two-year-old winner."
