Prebble and Dunn suspended at Flemington

Saturday 7 March 2020, 6:29pm

Brett Prebble's win in the Group Two VRC Sires' Produce Stakes at Flemington on Lunar Fox has also come at a cost with the jockey suspended for careless riding.

Prebble was one of two riders suspended out of Saturday's 1400m race for two-year-olds, with Dwayne Dunn also hit with a suspension for careless riding aboard third placegetter Ole Kirk.

Prebble pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 250m.

His ban starts after next Saturday and he is free to return on March 25.

Dunn was suspended for eight meetings for a low-range incident near the 200m, with his penalty also starting after next Saturday's meeting.

Both riders are set to miss the Saturday meeting on March 21, which is Golden Slipper day in Sydney and Mornington Cup day in Victoria.
