The first heat of the NSW Country Championships will now take place at Moruya with Nowra abandoned as the venue because of heavy rain.

Sunday's meeting features the south east heat of the Country Championships which culminates in the final on April 4.

The South Coast race is now the first heat with the Northern Rivers event at Coffs Harbour moved from Saturday to Tuesday.

Moruya was rated at soft 7 on Friday and expected to improve.

Friday's Taree meeting has been called off with several sections of the track causing concern while the Gunnedah program has been transferred to Scone.
