Frankel's sister Joyeuse entered for Ascot

Sunday 16 June 2013, 11:26am

Joyeuse, a half-sister to the mighty Frankel, is among 28 entries for the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot on Friday.

The two-year-old daughter of Oasis Dream made an impressive start to her career, winning a Lingfield maiden by 3-1/4 lengths last month.

Owned by Khalid Abdullah and trained by Lady Cecil, Joyeuse was one of the last winners sent out by Sir Henry Cecil before his death last Tuesday.

Her full brother Morpheus was the first winner for Lady Cecil who has been given a temporary licence to take charge of the stable until the end of the season.

Sir Henry Cecil set the training record at the Royal meeting with 75 winners with Sir Michael Stoute on 65.
