Tuesday 7 May 2019, 2:20pm

A capacity field of 16 plus four emergencies has been declared for the Group One South Australian Derby at Morphettville.

Long-time favourite for Saturday's race for three-year-olds over 2500m, the Phillip Stokes-trained Mr Quickie drew barrier 13 and has eased to $3.50 as he shoots to give jockey John Allen his third success in the past four years.

Second favourite at $5 is the Anthony Freedman-trained Ridgewood Drive who emerged as a leading contender with his victory at Flemington on Saturday.

He drew barrier 10 while stablemate Declarationofheart sits on the third line of betting at $6.50 after drawing barrier four and will be attempting to give dual code rider Clayton Douglas a first Group One success.

The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Savvy Oak drew the inside barrier while fourth emergency The Mallee Mob drew the outside.

The Lindsay Park-trained Qafila is the only filly among the 20 acceptors and will jump from gate seven.
