New fee for Qld stallion Better Than Ready

Wednesday 3 April 2019, 1:26pm

Queensland breeding's first-season sensation Better Than Ready will stand at a stud fee of $33,000 in the new season.

Better Than Ready, who stands at Lyndhurst Stud near Warwick, had a service fee of $9900 for his first three seasons.

But his first crop to race have been in outstanding form and it was obvious his service fee would be boosted considerably.

Better Than Ready leads the Australian first-season statistics on winners and and overall victories.

He has sired 14 individual winners of 22 races.

Better Than ready is also the only first-season sire to have two individual stakes winners.
