A capacity field of 14 plus two emergencies has accepted for the Tancred Stakes, one of two Group One races for Rosehill's final meeting of the autumn carnival.

Godolphin galloper Avilius will wear the number one saddlecloth in Saturday's 2400m weight-for-age race as he looks to extend his unbeaten run to five on Sydney tracks.

Avilius has drawn barrier seven and will be ridden by James McDonald replacing Kerrin McEvoy who had the mount in the Ranvet Stakes at Rosehill last Saturday.

Red Cardinal will be out to extend his winning run after wins in the Parramatta Cup and Sky High Stakes at his only two runs for Kris Lees and will start from barrier 12, while stablemate Big Duke will start from gate nine.
