Winx to have nine rivals in G1 Turnbull

Nine horses have been declared to line up against champion Winx in the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington.

Winx will be chasing her 28th successive win and 21st Group One victory in Saturday's 2000m-race which will be her final lead-up to her bid for an unprecedented fourth Cox Plate.

The winner of last year's Turnbull, Winx has barrier eight in the field of 10 with trainer Chris Waller also accepting with Winx's stablemate Youngstar.

Caulfield Cup favourite Kings Will Dream has barrier one while dual Flemington Group One winner Grunt has drawn nine.
