After a successful first racing preparation, Group Two winner Summer Sham is back from a spell and ready to kick off her latest campaign in sprint race for fillies at Caulfield.

The Danny O'Brien-trained Summer Sham has won three of her four starts, highlighted by her victory in the Group Two Angus Armanasco Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield earlier this season.

Summer Sham was given a break after her unplaced run in the Kewney Stakes in March and is set to resume in Saturday's Keno Kwikpik Handicap (1100m).

"She has come back super," O'Brien's racing manager Matt Harrington said.

"She was exceptional last preparation going from a maiden to Group Two level in the space of six weeks and she really handled everything well.

"She's come back and is stronger and more mature."

Summer Sham won a jump-out at Flemington last week in preparation for a return to the races.

"She trialled very well so we just thought we'll get her kicked off on Saturday," Harrington said.

Harrington said Summer Sham would likely progress from Saturday to a 1400m race with a view to running in a VOBIS race on the final weekend of the season at Caulfield on July 28.

"We're not going on Saturday with great expectations, she's going there with a lot of improvement but her class will take her a long way," he said.

"Given her class we expect her to run really well."

Summer Sham has 60.5kg but apprentice Lachlan King will claim 3kg off that.

O'Brien also has three-year-old staying filly Berkshire Lady in the Keno Heads Or Tails Handicap over 2000m off a recent freshen-up after her sixth in the Group Three SA Fillies Classic (2500m) in Adelaide last month.

Another Bullseye runs in the Keno Classic Handicap (1600m).
