John Allen loses his appeal at RAD Board

Thursday 15 February 2018, 10:03am

Jockey John Allen has lost his bid to ride Cliff's Edge in the C S Hayes Stakes at Flemington.

The Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Thursday dismissed Allen's appeal against the severity of a nine-meeting suspension for careless riding incurred at Caulfield last Saturday.

With Allen now sidelined until next Tuesday, Brad Rawiller takes the ride on Cliff's Edge in Saturday's C S Hayes Stakes.

A first-up winner of the Manfred Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 3, Cliff's Edge shares top billing with stablemate Peaceful State at $5 in the 1400m-race, a lead-up to the Group One Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on March 3.
