Three extra entries for Expressway

Tuesday 30 January 2018, 4:54pm

Dual Group One runner-up Lord Of The Sky is one of three late entries for the Expressway Stakes at Rosehill.

Trained by Robbie Laing in Victoria, Lord Of The Sky ran second to Chautauqua in the 2015 TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick and second to Flamberge in the Goodwood in Adelaide later that autumn.

More recently he won the Group Three Standish Handicap at Flemington on January 1.

Trainer Bjorn Baker has added Bonnie O'Reilly to his entries for Saturday's Group Two Expressway (1200m) with the stable originally nominating Addictive Nature, Egyptian Symbol and Goodfella.

Top Striker from the Greg Hickman stable is the other late entry taking the nominations to 12.

Dual Group One winner Global Glamour is the early favourite and the equal highest-rated horse on 108 in the race with Spring Champion Stakes and Victoria Derby winner Ace High.

Trainer Gerald Ryan will wait until he sees the make-up of the field before committing Golden Rose winner Trapeze Artist to a start with the Eskimo Prince a week later against his fellow three-year-olds the other option for his return.
