With More Joyous moving on to Melbourne, Guy Walter's Angst Stakes runners have a gilt-edged chance to improve on their last-start stakes placings at Rosehill on Saturday.

Skyerush and Forarainyday led in the chasing pack behind champion mare More Joyous in the Group Three Golden Pendant (1400m) two weeks ago and are two of the leading chances for Saturday's main event at Rosehill.

Skyerush has already proven herself in good company with a Group Two Emancipation Stakes win and Group One runner-up performance in the Tattersall's Tiara earlier this year.

"Her recent form is very good and she's been a very consistent mare over the years," Walter said.

"These days I think she prefers to be on the fresh side.

"She ran very well first-up and I'm backing her up fairly quickly but she's done extremely well."

Skyerush is just shaded in betting by last-start Tibbie Stakes winner Nocturnelle, with Forarainyday on the fourth line.

Forarainyday made a giant leap last start to record her first stakes placing.

"Forarainyday is a lightly-raced mare who I feel is on the up," Walter said.

"Tomorrow is another test for her and she's a bit untested in the wet ground."

Forarainyday won a Maiden race in slow going at Canterbury and her name could be an omen for the meeting.

"That might be appropriate," Walter said with the Rosehill track rated in the slow range after showers on Friday.

Walter's other Rosehill representatives include Dancing Attendance and Floor Show in an 1800m event for fillies and mares.

Floor Show is favourite on the back of three wins from four starts including a city win on the Kensington track.

"She's done everything asked of her and has kept improving," Walter said.
