A group of exciting 2yo’s are stepping out tomorrow in Race 1 at Rosehill (1100m), some are making their debut, while three of the runners, (Rheingau, Nuke, Perfect Pitch) have a run under their belt.

The field of eight come from a variety of families and include relations to HK Sprinting sensation Absolute Champion, Golden Slipper winner Vancouver, Blue Diamond Stakes winner True Jewels and the grand mare Appearance.

Connections will be hoping their horses can be Golden Slipper contenders come Autumn!

1. Rheingau (C) (ANIMAL KINGDOM x Rheinfels [LONHRO]

*Godolphin bred, by Arrowfield sire ANIMAL KINGDOM but Godolphin stand ANIMAL KINGDOM in Kentucky

*1/2 brother to Drachenfels, with the mare also producing a COMMANDS filly (2014) and this colt, before missing to ANIMAL KINGDOM and then slipping to KERMEDEC

2. Nuke (C) (SMART MISSILE x Hoist [ZEDITAVE])

*$75,000 buy from the Inglis Classic Sale, bought by BlueBlood Thoroughbreds from the Newhaven Park draft

*Hoist won 8 times 1100m-1500m and is a 1/2 sister to South African stakes placed Blue Swift (by REDOUTE’S CHOICE)

*Hoist has produced a winner by MANHATTAN RAIN, a filly by NOT A SINGLE DOUBT last year and a colt by ZOUSTAR on 20/09/17

*3rd dam TANTUM ERGO (GB) as a G3 winner in Europe

3. Flying Pierro (C) (PIERRO x We Betcha [ENCOSTA DE LAGO]

*Bred and owned by Ingham Racing and seems well-named with PIERRO in flying form having recently sired the VRC Oaks winner PINOT

*We Betcha was a 5x winner including as a 2yo from 1100m-1400m, she’s produced three named foals, two to race, both winners – Flying Pierro is her third foal and she also has a yearling filly by UNCLE MO and a filly foal by STARSPANGLEDBANNER, born 24/10/17

*2nd dam WAGER was a dual G2 winner and runner up as a 2yo in G1 Blue Diamond, Sires Produce and Champagne Stakes

*Family of Blue Diamond winner TRUE JEWELS, VILLIAN, NOESIS and SAMANTHA

4. Silent Agenda (C) (REDOUTE’S CHOICE x Beauty Belle [IDEAL PLANET]

*Passed in the at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, retained to race by the Kelly family of Newhaven Park, carries the same colours as FROLIC

*Full brother to G1 South African Derby and G1 Turffontein Champions Challenge winner WYLIE HALL – and a 1/2 brother to HK Champion Sprinter ABSOLUTE CHAMPION – also a G2 Pago Pago Stakes winner in Australian when named GENIUS AND EVIL

*Dam overall has had 11 named foals, 9 to race, 8 winners and is the grand-dam of PEACOCK, she’s foaled a filly by DELAGO DELUXE on 18/10/17 with Silent Agenda her most recent named foal

5. Toulouse (C) (LOPE DE VEGA x Skibo Castle [CARNEGIE (IRE)]

*Toulouse was bought by trainer David Payne for $50,000 at the 2017 Inglis Premier Sale from the draft of Marquee Stud

*Carries the Aston Bloodstock colours of Wilf Mula, who raced another of the stallion’s offspring FRENCH FERN, to a G2 win as a 2yo in the Reisling Stakes

*Skibo Castle was a winner over 1225m, she’s a 1/2 sister to MURTAJILL, BRADBURY’S LUCK, SUNSET RUN and Skates (dam of VANCOUVER, JUSTE MOMENTE & CAPTAIN COLTISH)

*Skibo Castle has had 4 named foals, 2 to race, both winners (by CASINO PRINCE) including Garbhan who ran 4th in the Tulloch Stakes – Toulouse is her last live foal to date, having sadly lost her colt this season by ZOUSTAR

*Absolutely Flying is a 1/2 sister to CAMPORELLA, she’s produced 2 foals, both raced – 1 winner

*Perfect Pitch is the last foal so far for the dam, who has slipper in subsequent seasons

*2nd dam REALLY FLYING (by REAL QUIET) won the LR Dark Jewel Classic at Scone

*A $100,000 purchase for Bjorn Baker at the Inglis Classic Sale from the Manx Park draft

*Dam won one race over 1350m and is a 1/2 sister to LR winner DIVINE CENTURI

*Dam has a yearling colt by Coolmore stallion ZOFFANY but wasn’t served last season
