World Cup winner Animal Kingdom will stand his first season at stud in Australia at $38,500.

Managing owner John Messara, the proprietor of Arrowfield Stud, said a decision on whether he raced at Royal Ascot before making the trip to Australia would be made in the next couple of days.

"The trainer Graham Motion will travel from America and the vet will inspect him and they will make a decision on Royal Ascot," Messara said.

"I will leave it up to them."

Before last month's World Cup in Dubai, Messara bought a majority shareholding in the 2011 Kentucky Derby winner from United States based Team Valor.

After the World Cup, Sheikh Mohammed's Darley also bought into Animal Kingdom.

Messara now holds 50 per cent, Darley 29 per cent and Team Valor 21 per cent.

With Darley entering the partnership, Animal Kingdom will stand the northern hemisphere season at the sheikh's Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.

Arrowfield also announced its other 2013 stallion fees, among them Snitzel who rises from $33,000 to $49,500 and his sire Redoute's Choice who remains at `$137,500.

Both stallions had success at last week's Easter Yearling sale in Sydney with Redoute's Choice producing the $5 million sale topping half brother to Black Caviar and a Snitzel colt realising $1 million.

"It was a good sale for us with Snitzel getting his first million dollar yearling," Messara said.

"That was a high water mark. Redoute's Choice has proved he is a sire maker and his sons are going well at stud."

Redoute's Choice is serving his first northern hemisphere season at the Aga Khan's stud, Haras de Bonneval in France.
