Mosheen's Daughter Breaks Maiden at Tokyo

Tuesday 10 October 2017, 2:49pm

Coming off a debut second in a Newcomer race at Nakayama on September 17, Mosheen's daughter Primo Scene opened her winning account at over 1600 metres at Tokyo on Monday.

Ridden by Hiroshi Kitamura for trainer Tetsuya Kimura, Primo Scene was sent off an odds-on favourite to defeat Tetradrachm (Rulership) by a neck with Kaga Star (Rose Kingdom) five lengths back in third.

A daughter of the champion stallion Deep Impact, Primo Scene is the second foal of the Fastnet Rock mare Mosheen who finished second to Sepoy in the Golden Slipper at two and the Group I Victorian Oaks, Group I Australian Guineas, Group I Randwick Guineas and Group I Vinery Stakes at three.

Mosheen has a yearling filly by champion sprinter Lord Kanaloa (King Kamehameha).
