The Gimcrack Stakes has been part of the Australian Racing landscape since the early 1900s. The 2017 edition features a big field of 16 runners! Including progeny of three first crop sires and a half sister to Russian Revolution!

*First Light Racing purchased this horse from the Inglis Classic Sale for $105,000 from the Middlebrook Valley Lodge draft

*Won a heat at the official 2yo trials at Canterbury

*First foal for the dam, who produced a filly by Hinchinbrook in 2016 and is due to Eurozone this season

*Family of THE MIKADO – CHATER MIKADO, the family is light on black type close up – ironically the 2nd dam’s name is “Black Type”

*Bought by trainer Gary Portelli from Book 2 of the MM – vendor was Baramul Stud

*This filly is by a Vinery stallion, out of a mare by a Vinery Stud stallion!

*Dam was covered by REAL IMPACT last season last season, produced a 2016 filly by MOSSMAN, she was exported to New Zealand in July this year
