Ford, O'Hara suspended for careless riding

Wednesday 27 September 2017, 6:57pm

Jay Ford and Kathy O'Hara have received careless riding suspensions at Rosehill.

Ford starts a four-meeting ban next Thursday after his mount Faith's Encore shifted out and caused Choice Large, ridden by apprentice Brock Ryan, to check near the winning post.

He pleaded guilty and can resume riding on October 12.

Earlier in the Benchmark 83 Handicap (1300m) O'Hara and Fly Forward shifted in on Faith's Encore at the 900m, an action that caused Pianissimo, ridden by apprentice James Innes Jnr, to check.

O'Hara also pleased guilty and she will miss three meetings from next Wednesday.
