Waller unveils plans for Winx to go global

Wednesday 20 September 2017, 5:17pm

The world's greatest horse of turf will go global after the Sydney autumn carnival, with trainer Chris Waller outlining two European options for Winx.

Waller said a one-off appearance at Royal Ascot was possible for Winx though ideally she would head overseas for three-race campaign in England, France and Ireland.

"I don't think we have to go but I think the world's saying: 'Listen, can you come over?' We'd really appreciate you to come," he said.

"After the George Ryder (on March 17) we'll make a decision as to when we stop and when we start preparing for Europe.

"We'll take her through a range of distances."

And Waller says a campaign in the United States is not out of the question with famed racetrack Churchill Downs on a list of endless possibilities.

"I've had a look at some races (in Europe) ... they tell me there's a Breeders' Cup, dreaming's easy," he said.
