Jason Collett back among the city winners

Saturday 16 September 2017, 2:03pm

After two suspensions that kept Jason Collett off for a month the jockey has ridden his first Saturday winner since his return aboard Embley at Randwick.

While he rode a perfectly judged race, leading all the way on the Bjorn Baker-trained gelding in the Shoot Out Mile, he had a little trouble finding the scales for the winning jockey.

"They've moved them since I was last here," Collett said.

He did weigh in and was happy and relieved to be back on the winners' list after drawing a blank over the past week.

"I'm very happy and I think this is a good horse," he said.

Embley ($6) beat Darci's Affair ($10) by 1-3/4 lengths to record his second consecutive 1600m-win at Randwick, prompting Baker to think about raising the bar.

"He might be a bit better than I thought he was," Baker said.

"I think he can step up another level pver more ground.

"I had the Port Macquarie Cup in mind but he might even be better than that."

The $150,000 Port Macquarie Cup (2000m) is on October 6.
