PRIME DISPATCH - Edition 173

Friday 8 September 2017, 4:02pm

 Good morning,

I am pleased to be able to announce that all our promotions have been filled and I thank our owners for their support, it has been terrific.  I am in the process of getting the paperwork in and should have all the new horses named by the end of next week.

We also welcome a host of new owners to Prime Thoroughbreds.  It has been a very busy few months.  With the 2018 Magic Millions Sale just on four months off I am planning to get around the farms to get a feel for the progeny of the 'new sires' that will have yearlings for sale at next year's sales series.  About 30% of the mares with yearlings on offer at next year's sales will have progeny of the first season sires.

If you are planning to attend the 2018 Magic Millions Carnival and race day I suggest you keep an eye on the Gold Coast Turf Club Website with the hospitality packages due to be released by the end of this month.

I am looking forward to the next few months enjoying the racing and improving our systems.  There isn't much time to do anything while we are selling the yearlings and attending the sales.

I highly recommend the lunch at Flemington in the Committee Room on 20 January 2018 which we are conducting in conjunction with the Ricky Stuart Foundation.  This is an excellent foundation that raises much needed funds to raise the awareness of autism is and to provide downtime for the families and their daily struggles with autism.  I will be directing a lot of time and effort into making sure this is a day to remember.

Our runners over the weekend are Makeadane at Rosehill, Great Southern at Sale, Husson's Kiss in Hobart and Quirion at The Sunshine Coast.

Once again we have really strong meetings in Melbourne and Sydney.

I hope you enjoy looking back at some of our achievements during the past season.
