Hot Snitzel bounces back at Rosehill

Saturday 6 April 2013, 6:07pm

Gerald Ryan will weigh up interstate options for Hot Snitzel after the sprinter took out the final race on Saturday's Golden Slipper day program at Rosehill.

The four-year-old rebounded from a tough first-up run to win the Sebring HKJC Stakes (1200m) and deliver Ryan some joy during a day in which his two Slipper runners, Charlie Boy and Dothraki, finished eighth and last respectively.

"It's a nice way to end the day," Ryan said.

"The horse has come back well. He had a wind operation after the Galaxy last year and then he had a soft spring.

"Last start he went forward on a fast pace and was caught wide. He ended up in no-man's land, these things happen, but it was good for him to bounce back today."

Hot Snitzel ($15) again raced on the speed in the HKJC Stakes before accelerating clear in the straight to defeat Victorian Smokin' Joey ($21) by 2-1/4 lengths with See The World ($8) third.

With few suitable options for him in Sydney, Hot Snitzel is likely to have his next start in the Group Two Victory Stakes (1200m) at Eagle Farm on April 27.

Ryan is also looking to Adelaide and the Group One Goodwood (1200m) at Morphettville on May 11.
