Unbeaten records on the line for duo

Friday 25 August 2017, 10:14am

Paul Snowden does not find it difficult to split the stable's contenders for the Group Three Ming Dynasty Quality, although Assimilate and Hypnotist are both unbeaten.

The talented three-year-old colts head to Rosehill on Saturday when they will put their credentials for the Group One Caulfield Guineas (1600m) in October on the line.

"Off the back of a freshen and a nice trial they're both nice horses going forward," Snowden said.

Snowden does believe Assimilate has the score on the board.

"With (stablemate) Dracarys winning last week, you've got to say Assimilate has some tidy form against him," Snowden said.

"Assimilate beat him three weeks before that so he's got to have the strongest form line behind him. He's had a better class of horse around him,."

Assimilate beat Dracarys by a head at Randwick on July 22 and the latter claimed last Saturday's Group Three Up And Coming Stakes (1300m).

Snowden, who trains in partnership with his father Peter, also has a high opinion of Hypnotist, who makes his Sydney Saturday debut after recording two wins at Newcastle and one at Canterbury.

"Hypnotist is an up and coming horse who's been well placed," Snowden said.

"He's won all his races but he's always shown above average ability though he's come through a lesser class.

"They will both get a lot further and could end up in the Guineas."

," Snowden said.

Assimilate was a $6 chance for the Ming Dynasty (1400m) with the TAB on Friday with Hypnotist at $9 and the Bjorn Baker-trained Addictive Nature the market leader at $4.

Addictive Nature was beaten as favourite at his most recent start, finishing second to Queenslander Shogun Sun who is the $3.20 favourite for a three-year-old handicap at the Gold Coast on Saturday as he continues his bid for a Golden Rose berth.
