Next month's Group One BTC Cup has been moved from Doomben to Eagle Farm in the hope Black Caviar will run in the weight-for-age race.

The Brisbane Racing Club (BRC) announced on Thursday the BTC Cup meeting on May 11 would be staged at the larger Eagle Farm course for the first time in the race's 40-year history.

BRC Chairman Neville Bell said it was "essential" to move the meeting to give as many Queensland fans as possible the chance to see Black Caviar run - if her connections decide to head that way.

"If she comes we want as many people as possible to be able to see it," Bell said.

"She is a living legend of our time and we imagine the interest in seeing her race will be staggering."

Black Caviar is scheduled to chase her 25th straight win in the TJ Smith Stakes in Sydney on Saturday week.
