Fiveandahalfstar draws barrier six in BMW

Tuesday 2 April 2013, 12:05pm

Favourite Fiveandahalfstar has drawn in the middle of the field for the $2.25 million BMW at Rosehill on Saturday.

One of five Group One races decided on Golden Slipper day, the BMW has attracted 12 acceptors.

The only three-year-old in the race, Fiveandahalfstar has drawn barrier six and he has retained a solid grip on favouritism at $2.80.

Fiveandahalfstar takes his place in the BMW after he was scratched from Saturday's Rosehill Guineas to concentrate on the longer race run at weight-for-age.

Six of the 12 BMW runners began their racing careers in the northern hemisphere, including Foreteller, the last-start Ranvet Stakes winner who shares the second line of BMW betting at $6.50 with Maluckyday.
