Food, drink prices to drop at ATC courses

Thursday 9 March 2017, 6:22pm

The Australian Turf Club has cut food and drink prices by up to 33 per cent ahead of the start of the autumn carnival.

From Saturday at Rosehill there will be permanent reductions on more than 70 lines of food and beverage products.

ATC chairman Laurie Macri and chief executive Darren Pearce said on track patrons would enjoy prices in line with pubs and clubs across Sydney.

Tooheys New and XXXX Gold beers on tap will drop to $5 each, soft drinks and

bottled still and sparkling water will fall 25 per cent to $3 for members and $3.50 for the public while a range of sparkling, red and white wines will drop by between $5 and $7 a bottle.

Some of the food items include hot roast rolls down to $9 from $12 (25 per cent), Vili's Pastry Pies to $4, Vili's Sausage Rolls from $6 to $4 for public customers (33 per cent) and hot chips to $5 a tray.

Macri said the ATC wanted to offer members, families, punters and all race fans

greater value for money during a day at the track.

"The thrill of watching live thoroughbred racing has become even more affordable with these price cuts to all of our food and drink options,'' Macri said.

"These prices bring us right in line with pubs and clubs, and our facilities at Rosehill Gardens and Royal Randwick for members and the public are second to none."
