The Magic Millions road show is over and trainer John Zielke believes it is time for Make My Own Luck to shine.

Make My Own Luck scored a barn storming win on debut at Toowoomba and ran second at her next two starts.

Those seconds were behind top fillies Champ Elect, in the Listed Calaway Gal, and Houtzen, who won the Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic at her next start.

Make My Own Luck was not paid up for the Magic Millions series and will instead run in the $125,000 Sunshine Coast Two-Year-Old Classic on Saturday.

Zielke has relocated his stables to Toowoomba but he knows all about the Sunshine Coast track having trained there for several years.

"I have been waiting to get her on to a really big track. The 1200 metres will suit and she will be finishing very hard," Zielke said.

The trainer has big plans in mind for Make My Own Luck believing she will be an ideal horse for the Group Two BRC Sires' Produce Stakes nd Group One J J Atkins Stakes in the winter.

"I declared after her second to Houtzen at the Gold Coast at her last start she would be a major winter carnival player and I see no reason to change," he said.

Make My Own Luck is by Bradbury's Luck, a Magic Millions Classic winner, and cost $40,000 as a yearling. She has already won more than $60,000 in prize money and bonus payments.

"She will need a bit more in earnings to get a start in the better races and Saturday is a good place to start," Zielke said.

Make My Own Luck will be ridden by Zielke's friend Bobby El El-issa who has been breaking back into the Sydney racing scene.

Zielke was among the first to give El-issa rides when he returned to racing after battling cancer last year.
